Toyota scales back production in China as sales slow

The company did not provide details of how much production would be cut by.

It comes on the heels of anti-Japanese protests across China, that led to a halt in production for several days at Toyota and other Japanese companies.

China is Japan's largest trading partner and a key market for its consumer goods.

The anti-Japanese sentiment was a result of a territorial dispute between the two countries over islands in the East China Sea.
